How It Works

This ABi-Solar AB330-72P polycrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect. When photons strike the silicon cells, they excite electrons to create a flow of direct current. The 72-cell configuration is arranged to optimize voltage for connection with standard inverters. The anti-reflection coating on the tempered glass increases light absorption by reducing surface reflection. A bypass diode inside the junction box prevents power loss when parts of the panel are shaded. This design ensures stable performance even under variable weather conditions. The anodized aluminum frame protects internal components from moisture and physical damage. The system operates efficiently between -40°C and +85°C operating temperatures. Its low temperature coefficient of -0.39%/°C minimizes power loss in hot weather.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
