How It Works
The IQ Combiner 5C is the central interconnection point of an Enphase home energy system. PV branch circuits from IQ Microinverters and storage circuits land on the 125 A busbar, while the factory-installed IQ Gateway and CTs handle metering and communications.
Branch Aggregation: Up to four 2-pole Eaton BR breakers terminate PV and storage branches on a 125 A busbar inside one NEMA 3R enclosure.
Production & Consumption Metering: Pre-installed production and consumption CTs feed accurate energy data through the IQ Gateway to the Enphase App and monitoring cloud.
Always-On Connectivity: The IQ Gateway communicates over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or the included cellular Mobile Connect modem — keeping the system reachable even during home internet outages.
